Philip Gorts (1965, Geel, Belgium) studied at the music conservatories of Antwerp and Brussels and gained diplomas in musical reading and notation and counterpoint. He played the trumpet in various brass bands at a young age which inspired him to write his first arrangements.
He is currently very much in demand as a conductor and teacher.
His many arrangements have been successful internationally and are characterised by colourful instrumentation and an excellent choice of repertoire.
