Morten J. Wallin was born in Oslo (Norway) in 1958. He joined the school orchestra at a young age, playing the baritone. However, the sound of the bassoon soon won his heart and this has remained his instrument ever since.

He developed a passion for music at an early age, and this also included composing music. His compositions have been performed all over the world.
