Teo Aparicio Barberan was born in Enguera, near Valencia (Spain). He studied saxophone, piano, double bass, harmony, fugue and counterpoint at the Valencia Conservatory, from which he graduated with distinction. He has composed several chamber music pieces, but most of his compositions are for wind orchestra which are performed regularly all over the world.

Most of his works have been recorded on CD.
