Raf Van Brandt completed his musical education at the Conservatory of Antwerp where, after winning first prize in music theory, he graduated as a master in music. After an 8-year career as a teacher, he was appointed director of the municipal academy for music and word in Hemiksem. As a performing musician he played piano in the Dennis Sweet Band, well-known in Belgium and abroad as a renowned accompaniment orchestra.

Within the Beriato Group, Raf Van Brandt is the driving force behind Kameleon Editions, the section involved in the publication of educational works and repertoire designed for music education.
